Standards

How we research, and what we will not say.

Last updated September 4, 2026

Everything on Chiclu is meant to be useful whether or not you ever ask us for an introduction. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

Local, or not published

We only publish a city guide when we have done the research for that city: real venues, real seasons, real prices and real florists. We do not create city pages by changing the name of the city.

Prices are sourced and dated

Every cost figure we publish says where it came from and when it was last reviewed. Where public numbers disagree, we explain why rather than pick the one that sounds best. We do not publish national averages as if they applied to your city.

No invented claims

  • We do not claim credit for floral work. We are not a florist.
  • We do not publish reviews, ratings or testimonials we cannot verify.
  • We do not describe a florist as vetted until we have actually done the vetting, and we say what that means.
  • We do not pretend to cover a city we do not cover.

Imagery and credit

Photographs on Chiclu are licensed and credited to the photographer, and where known the florist and venue. Until we have licensed photography for a page, we use clearly non-photographic artwork rather than stock images that imply a wedding we had nothing to do with.

Introductions

When we introduce a couple to a florist, we tell the couple who the florist is and why we chose them. We share a couple’s inquiry with one florist at a time, never a list. Florists never pay for placement in our guides, and taking part in our network does not change what we write about anyone.

Corrections

If something on Chiclu is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change on the page.
