Privacy policy

Last updated September 4, 2026

This policy explains what Chiclu collects when you use chiclu.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It is written to be read.

What we collect

  • Inquiry details you give us: your name, email, phone, preferred contact method, wedding date, location and venue, guest count, approximate floral budget, the services you need, any message you write and any inspiration link you share.
  • Waitlist and florist-interest details: the email and city you enter, and for florists, business name, contact name and website.
  • How you arrived: the page you landed on, the page you submitted from, the referring site, campaign parameters in the link you clicked (such as utm_ values and advertising click identifiers), the time, your browser type and a random first-party identifier stored in a cookie so we can connect your visit to your inquiry.

Why we collect it

  • To find a florist who fits your wedding and introduce you.
  • To tell you when we cover a city you asked about.
  • To understand which of our pages help couples and which do not.
  • To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.

Who we share it with

With your consent, we share your inquiry with the florist we introduce you to, so they can contact you about your wedding. We share it with one florist at a time. That florist may keep your details in their own systems; their handling of your information is governed by their own practices once you are in contact.

We use service providers to host the site, deliver email and, where enabled, measure site usage. They process data on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies

We set two first-party cookies: an identifier for your visit and a record of how you first arrived (landing page, referrer, campaign parameters). They are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties. Where analytics are enabled, they may set their own cookies according to their policies.

Your choices

  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
  • You can ask us to stop sharing your inquiry, or to withdraw a waitlist request.
  • You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the site still works.

Write to hello@chiclu.com. We will respond within 30 days. Residents of states with privacy laws that grant additional rights, including California, may exercise those rights the same way.

Retention

We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to complete an introduction and understand its outcome, and then for our records. Waitlist emails are kept until we launch in that city or you ask us to remove them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where we can, tell you.
